ফুলের নামঃ

 

ডেজার্ট রোজ এটি ইম্পালা লিলি, সাবি স্টার ইত্যাদি নামেও পরিচিত। এই উদ্ভিদটি আফ্রিকার পূর্ব অংশ, আরব ইত্যাদি সহ সাহারা অঞ্চলের স্থানীয় উদ্ভিদ। এই ফুলের উদ্ভিদগত নাম অ্যাডেনিয়াম ওবেসাম। এটি অ্যাপোসাইনেসিয়া উদ্ভিদ পরিবারের অন্তর্গত। আবার ইংরেজি নাম ইম্পালা লিলি হলেও এরা সত্যিকারের লিলি নয়। গোলাপ নামের হলেও গোলাপের সাথে এদের কোনো মিল নেই।

ফুলের বিবরণঃ

 

ডেজার্ট রোজ একটি পুষ্পবৃক্ষ। এটি মূলত সহারা ও উপকূলে বিস্তৃত স্থানে পাওয়া যায়। এই গাছের পাতা সবুজ এবং পুষ্পগুলি গোলাপের মতো রঙিন। ডেজার্ট রোজে খুব বেশি পানির প্রয়োজন পরে না সূর্যের আলো এবং উষ্ণতার সাথে ভালোভাবে বাঁচতে পারে। এটি আপনার বাগানে সৌন্দর্য যোগাতে পারে এবং সাধারণত সেই পরিস্থিতিতেই উন্নতি করে।

গাছের যত্নঃ

 

এই গাছগুলো সাক্যুলেন্ট জাতীয়। গাছ ১-৩ মিটার লম্বা হতে পারে। টবে অনায়াসেই বাঁচে। টবে লাগানো গাছ অনেকটা বহুবর্ষী বনসাইয়ের মতো দেখায়। গাছের যত্ন বলতে নিয়মিত পরিমাণমতো পানি, রোঁদ প্রয়োজন। গাছ স্যাতস্যাতে ও ভেজামাটি পছন্দ করে না। বেশি পানি দেয়ার ফলে অনেকসময় গাছের গোঁড়া পঁচে যায়। এরকম গাছ মাটি থেকে তুলে কিছুদিন দড়ি বা অন্য কিছুতে ঝুলিয়ে রাখার পর আবার টবে লাগান। গাছ টিকে যাবে। বীজ ও ডালের কাটিং থেকে চারা করা যায়। সুন্দর ফুল ও বনসাই হিসেবে এই গাছ ব্যবহৃত হয়। আফ্রিকাতে তীরের বিষ হিসেবে অর্থাৎ শিকারীর তীরে বিষ হিসেবে মূল ও কান্ডের কষ ব্যবহৃত হয়।

সাধারণ বিবরণঃ

 

একটি আধা-রসালো গুল্ম বা 3 মিটার পর্যন্ত ছোট গাছ যার নিচের কান্ড এবং ফোলা ভিত্তি বাগানের শোভাকর হিসাবে চাষ করা হয়। বাকল মসৃণ ও ধূসর।

ফুলঃ

 

ফুল 2.5-5 সেমি লম্বা, ফানেল আকৃতির, লবযুক্ত এবং শাখার প্রান্তে ক্লাস্টারযুক্ত, সাদা, গোলাপী, বেগুনি বা লাল রঙে গাঢ় মার্জিন সহ ফ্যাকাশে হয়। সাম্প্রতিক দিনগুলিতে প্রচুর জাত পাওয়া গেছে। কিন্তু বেশিরভাগ ক্ষেত্রেই ফুলের রঙ বেগুনি বা গোলাপী হয়।

পাতাঃ

 

পাতার গঠন চামড়ার, শাখার প্রান্তের দিকে গুচ্ছবদ্ধ এবং সর্পিলভাবে সাজানো। এগুলি মাঝখানের উপরে সবচেয়ে প্রশস্ত বা আয়তাকার বা উপবৃত্তাকার আকারে গোলাকার শীর্ষ, 5-22 সেমিঃ লম্বা এবং 0.5-6 সেমিঃ চওড়া।

 

ফল/বেরিঃ

 

ফলগুলি জোড়ায় জোড়ায় জন্মানো ধূসর বা ধূসর বাদামী রঙের, 15-16 সেমিঃ লম্বা এবং লম্বা সরু নলাকার বীজ ধারণ করে যার প্রতিটি প্রান্তে লম্বা সিল্কি সোনালী-বাদামী চুলের টিপ থাকে।

Desert Rose It is also known as Impala Lily, Sabi Star, etc. This plant is native to the Sahara region, including the eastern part of Africa, Arabia, etc. The botanical name of this flower is Adenium Obesum. It belongs to the apocynaceae family. Though the English name is Impala Lily, they are not true lilies. But they are also called roses, they have nothing in common with roses.
